- COI (Certificate of Insurance)
- Make sure lines of coverage are active
- The expiration date is after today
- There is an insurance contact in the top right (if using an Accord format)
- COA (Certificate of Authority)
- Many brokers will require you to upload this document
- You will also need to know your authority age and Interstate or Intrastate
- NOA (Notice of Assignment)
- Must have effective date
- Must include the payee bank information (your factoring company if you have one, or your companies bank account information)
- Equipment
- number of tractors
- number of trailers and the type/size of your trailers
JB Hunt Pre-Qualification
The first step is to enter basic company information, including your DOT/MC#.
Once you submit this form, you will see your pre-qualification results.
Carrier Profile
After qualification is complete, you'll be asked to fill out information about your business.
- Pay to information
- Contact information: make sure you use your @truenorthmco.com email address so that TrueNorth automatically gets Rate Confirmations! This will keep you from having to forward them to us after booking.
- Tractor information
- Service and Equipment you provide
- Certifications
- Equipment profile
- Driver information
- Proof of insurance
Then you will see and sign the carrier agreement with JB Hunt.
Next, you'll be directed to your carrier profile to enter information about your tractors, modes, and commodities, as well as any certifications you may have.

Finally, you'll confirm proof of insurance, and see your final carrier agreement packed to sign.
Final Steps
Lastly, you'll need to fill in W9 information, carrier operating areas, lane preferences, references, and diversity information.
After completing these steps, you'll see your confirmation screen with your RMIS registration number.
